We are thrilled to announce that Excel Central School is all set to host the prestigious India’s International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN) Mumbai Conference. With the esteemed presence of Ms. Himangi, a seasoned member of IIMUN Mumbai, who brings a year of experience in this remarkable initiative, the conference promises to be an enlightening and transformative experience for our students.

IIMUN, which stands for India’s International Movement to Unite Nations, is a global platform that engages students from primary school to university in simulations of United Nations activities. It provides a unique opportunity for students to develop essential skills such as leadership, research, writing, public speaking, and problem-solving. Through IIMUN, students not only gain a deeper understanding of the UN but also contribute to finding solutions for real-world problems.

The heart of IIMUN lies in its Model United Nations (MUN) simulations. These simulations replicate the procedures of the United Nations and involve negotiation, discussion, and lively debates. These activities are the cornerstone of UN activity and help students learn about global diplomacy and international relations.

During the IIMUN Mumbai Conference at Excel Central School, students can expect a structured flow of debate, starting with a speakers list, followed by formal and informal debates, and concluding with a voting procedure. The Dais will maintain a list of speakers, and delegates will follow the order specified in the ‘speaker list.’

IIMUN empowers the youth by enabling them to address global problems at an individual level. Every student participating in an IIMUN Chapter conference follows a three-step approach: Comprehend, Discuss Agendas, and Create. This process encourages students to understand complex issues, engage in meaningful discussions, and propose actionable goals to make a positive impact.

The Founder’s Address at the event emphasizes the need to empower millennials to be proactive “doers” in shaping a better world.

We are proud to host this mega event from November 3 to 5 at Excel Central School. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our students to expand their horizons, develop critical life skills, and contribute to a more globally aware and responsible society. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting event!
