Regular Checkups

Frequent medical checkups for both students and staff

We believe that regular medical check-ups are an important part of maintaining the health and wellbeing of our students. We encourage all students to visit the school nurse or their primary care provider on a regular basis to ensure that they are in good health.

Some of the kinds of testing and checkups that we conduct include:

  • Physical exams: Our students undergo a thorough physical examination, which includes measuring their height, weight, and body mass index (BMI). We also check their vital signs, such as their blood pressure and heart rate.

  • Vision and hearing tests: We make sure that our students’ vision and hearing are at optimal levels by conducting regular screenings for these senses.

  • Dental checkups: We partner with local dentists to provide our students with regular dental checkups, which include cleaning and fluoride treatment.

  • Blood tests: We conduct regular blood tests to check for any underlying health issues, such as anemia or diabetes.

We also encourage parents to provide any information about their child’s health history and any health-related issues that their child might have. This information is kept confidential and is used to make sure that the student is getting the best possible care.

COUNSELLING SERVICES

Our team of trained counselors is available to provide individual and group counseling to students. These counselors work with students to identify and address specific concerns, such as anxiety, depression, and other emotional issues.

We offer yoga and meditation classes, as well as workshops on mindfulness, to provide students with practical tools to help them cope with stress.

Regular practice of Surya Namaskar has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, and promote a sense of calm and inner peace. This can be particularly beneficial for school students who often face academic and social pressures. It involves a combination of physical movement and deep breathing, which can improve focus and concentration. This can be helpful for students who need to stay focused and alert during class. 

At Excel, Surya Namaskar is performed under the supervision of a qualified yoga instructor, especially for students and teacher who are still developing their physical and mental abilities. With proper guidance, Surya Namaskar becomes a safe and beneficial practice that can enhance physical and mental well-being for school students.
