On August 15, 2025, Excel Group of Schools proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day of India with great patriotism and enthusiasm. The celebrations took place on the Fourth Ground of the school, where all students and staff gathered to honor the nation’s freedom and pay tribute to the sacrifices of the freedom fighters.

Chief Guest’s Inspiring School Visit

Before the formal program began, the esteemed Chief Guest visited the entire school campus, including the STEAM labs. The visit offered a glimpse into the innovative learning spaces and initiatives at Excel Group of Schools, highlighting the institution’s commitment to nurturing creativity, scientific temper, and holistic development among its students. During the visit, the Chief Guest also proposed the creation of a new lab to be integrated with the existing STEAM labs, named the “Make Your Own Device Lab.” This initiative aims to further encourage innovation, experimentation, and hands-on learning among students.

Flag Hoisting and Cultural Performances

The program began with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by the singing of the national anthem, filling the atmosphere with pride. To engage the audience, students presented a series of cultural performances including vibrant dances, powerful skits, and patriotic songs, each reflecting the spirit of unity and freedom.

Release of Steam Fusion Digest

A special highlight of the event was the release of Steam Fusion Digest, the STEAM magazine for the month of June, by the esteemed Chief Guest. This publication stands as a testament to the creativity and achievements of the students.

In connection with Independence Day, a range of competitions such as drawing, poster making, and debates were organized for different grades. These activities encouraged students to express their patriotism, creativity, and critical thinking skills while fostering a healthy spirit of participation.
