Inauguration of National Space Week
Excel Group of Schools proudly celebrated National Space Day on August 23, 2025, which marked the beginning of a week-long celebration of National Space Week from August 23 to August 30. The occasion highlighted the wonders of space science and provided students with unique opportunities to explore the marvels of astronomy and technology.


Chief Guest’s Visit and Space Day Exhibits
The Chief Guest for the inaugural day was Smt K. S. Deepa, Ground Head at ISRO’s Mahendragiri. She honored the celebration with her presence, visited the school campus, and inaugurated the Space Day Exhibits that showcased student creativity and innovative models related to space exploration. Her insightful interaction inspired students to dream big and pursue scientific excellence.
Inauguration of the MYOD Lab
A key highlight of the celebration was the inauguration of the “Make Your Own Device (MYOD) Lab, an advanced learning space equipped with semiconductor modules. This lab was established to encourage students to experiment, innovate, and build devices, blending scientific concepts with practical applications.
Planetarium Show and Meteor Expo
As part of the week-long events, a 360-degree planetarium show was organized in the school, offering students an immersive experience of the universe. Additionally, a Meteor Expo was set up, providing fascinating insights into celestial bodies and meteorite studies. These programs created an engaging platform for students to learn beyond classrooms.


Public Day Celebration
On August 27, Excel Group of Schools opened its doors to the public, inviting local community members to witness the Planetarium Show and Meteor Expo. Parents, residents, and science enthusiasts visited the school, making the event inclusive and impactful for the wider community.
