National Doctor’s Day at Excel

Excel Group of Schools celebrated National Doctor’s Day with enthusiasm and reverence on June 1, 2024. The event was marked by various activities and engagements across the schools, honoring the invaluable contributions of doctors to society.

Morning Assembly and Flag Hoisting

The day commenced with a General Assembly, followed by the Flag Hoisting ceremony conducted by Dr. R. Abinaya, a distinguished Laparoscopic Surgeon from Kumar Hospital. Ms. Ashini, the 3D Lab Instructor, highlighted the significance of Doctor’s Day and the role of students in recognizing this day. Dr. Bivin introduced Dr. Abinaya, who then delivered an inspiring speech to the assembled students and staff.

First Podcast Release

A significant milestone of the day was the release of the first podcast on Spotify by Excel Group of Schools. This podcast features insights and discussions pertinent to the student community and aims to be a valuable resource for ongoing education and awareness.

Celebrations at Excel Global School

At Excel Global School, students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 gathered in the Assembly Quadrant. Kindergarten students dressed up as little doctors and welcomed Dr. Abinaya warmly. She shared essential health tips and stressed the importance of the NEET exam for higher-grade students.

Afternoon Session with Dr. Francis Lawyer

In the afternoon, Dr. Francis Lawyer, the Director and Pediatrician from Chelrose Hospital, visited the school. Kindergarten students from Excel Central School, dressed as adorable little doctors, greeted him with welcome notes. Dr. Lawyer provided valuable health tips for the children to incorporate into their daily routines. He also conducted a special session with NEET aspirants, emphasizing the significance of NEET coaching and sharing further insights on the subject.

This celebration of Doctor’s Day across Excel Group of Schools not only honored the dedication and hard work of medical professionals but also educated and inspired students about the importance of health and medical careers.
