Celebrating Paper Bag Day at Excel Group of Schools
July 12, 2024

On July 12, 2024, Excel Group of Schools celebrated Paper Bag Day, aligning with SDG Goal 13: Climate Action. The event aimed to raise awareness about the environmental benefits of using paper bags instead of plastic, promoting an eco-friendly lifestyle, and encouraging the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Students were notified one week in advance to prepare for the event by making their own paper bags at home. On the day of the celebration, students proudly brought their handmade paper bags, which were exhibited on the KG stage for two days, June 12 and 13. The exhibition provided an opportunity for all students to view and appreciate the creativity and effort put into making the paper bags.

To honor their participation and effort, the Managing Director of Excel Group of Schools presented gifts to all students who brought paper bags. This gesture not only acknowledged their contribution but also encouraged them to continue supporting eco-friendly initiatives.

The celebration of Paper Bag Day at Excel Group of Schools was a significant step towards creating awareness about the importance of reducing plastic usage and adopting sustainable practices. By participating in this event, students learned the value of protecting our environment, contributing to a greener planet and supporting the global goal of climate action.
