We are thrilled to share the vibrant and engaging moments from our much-anticipated Earth Day celebration that took place on January 23, 2024. The event was a resounding success, promoting awareness and inspiring action for a healthier environment. The entire school community came together to celebrate under the theme of environmental stewardship, reflected beautifully in the green dress code embraced by all participants, creating a visually stunning atmosphere.
Program Highlights:
The day kicked off with a soulful prayer song, setting the stage for our school principal’s compelling Earth Day address. Emphasizing the need for collective action, the principal’s speech inspired reflection on the importance of environmental stewardship, concluding with a powerful call to make every day Earth Day. The program also featured a delightful speech by a UKG Blue student on the importance of a green environment, a mesmerizing dance performance by our little maestros, and a thought-provoking discussion on the significance of growing plants. The day concluded with a heartwarming display of creativity through a Fashion Pride showcase by children from all classes and a field exploration, connecting our students with the beauty of nature.
Educational Initiatives:
In addition to the engaging performances, our UKG class embarked on a “Saplings Adventure,” contributing to the school’s greenery by planting medicinal plants in the Excel garden. Complementing this, a “Gift a Sapling” campaign encouraged students to share the joy of nurturing the environment by bringing in saplings. These initiatives not only added an educational dimension to the celebration but also underscored our commitment to holistic education and the cultivation of a green mindset for a sustainable future.
