Under the visionary guidance of our esteemed Chairman, Excel Group of Schools is thrilled to embark on a green initiative aimed at cultivating crops for the upcoming Pongal celebration in January 2024. This forward-thinking project is a collaborative effort between our STEAM department and the Biology department, carried out under the diligent guidance of our Principals.

We are excited to announce the initiation of this program, which involves the planting of ginger, turmeric, and sugarcane in our dedicated Integrated Farming area. These crops hold cultural significance and will add a flavorful touch to our Pongal festivities.

On September 13th, at 9:45 am, the planting program commenced with the active participation of students from Class 9C of Central School and IGCSE students from Global School. Their hands-on involvement promises to be an enriching learning experience.

Furthermore, we are pleased to share that, with the enthusiastic approval of our Principals, students from Grades 8, 9, and 11 will have the opportunity to delve deeper into this initiative during their Biology periods. This offers a unique chance to explore the practical aspects of agricultural science and sustainable farming practices.
