On October 15, 2025, Excel Group of Schools, in collaboration with Anandia Mahirza Charity Trust and the Great India Movement, celebrated the 94th birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam with great pride and reverence. The event, held in the Philosophers Hall of the Excel campus, was graced by the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Nagercoil Municipal Corporation as the chief guests.

A general assembly was conducted for students from Grades 5 to 12, where all students from the three Excel campuses gathered to pay tribute to the “Missile Man of India.” During the assembly, each student was provided with a mask designed in the likeness of Dr. Kalam, and wearing these masks, they took a special oath in his remembrance, symbolizing their commitment to uphold his ideals of knowledge, innovation, and service to the nation.

As part of the celebration, Excel Group of Schools joined the world record initiative — “94 Days, 94 Schools”, launched in honor of Dr. Kalam’s enduring legacy. The event served as a powerful reminder of his vision to ignite young minds and nurture the “Future Kalams” of India.
