he Excel Group of Schools under its STEAM Exploratorium successfully conducted an Expert Session on Advanced Raspberry Pi Techniques on 10th October 2025. The session was held at the AI and Robotics Lab and was exclusively organized for the Grade 11 students.
The session was led by Engineer Jeba, a distinguished Embedded Systems Developer with vast experience in real-world project implementation and hardware integration. The expert introduced the students to the architecture and applications of Raspberry Pi, emphasizing its role as a powerful microcomputer widely used in robotics, automation, and IoT-based projects.
Students were given hands-on training on installing and configuring the Raspberry Pi operating system, understanding GPIO pin functions, and exploring the differences between various versions such as Raspberry Pi 3, 4, and the latest Raspberry Pi 5. The session also covered practical aspects like connecting external components, interfacing sensors, and using Python for control and automation.
Engineer Jeba shared his professional insights into how Raspberry Pi technology is transforming industries and how students can utilize it to develop real-world innovations. The session was highly interactive, with students enthusiastically engaging in demonstrations and clarifying their technical doubts.
The workshop not only enhanced their technical competence and problem-solving skills but also inspired them to think creatively and pursue further learning in AI, IoT, and Embedded Systems.
