A Taste of Adventure: Culinary Art Students Embark on a Field Trip

We are delighted to announce that a group of 22 culinary art course students, accompanied by three teachers, went for an exciting field trip to Rajadhani Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (RIHMCT) in Thiruvananthapuram. The purpose of the visit is to explore the hospitality industry and gain hands-on experience in the field of culinary arts.

During the visit, the students had an opportunity to interact with the faculty members and students of RIHMCT, where they share their knowledge and experiences in the field of culinary arts. The students got a chance to witness live demonstrations of various culinary techniques and learn about the latest trends in the culinary industry.

The visit took place on 9th March 2023, at Rajathani Winsoor hotel conference room. At the conference room, the faculty members of RIHMCT gave an extensive presentation on the various departments in hotel management, including the responsibilities handled by different departments, the technical names given to areas allotted, and the services provided and business techniques. The students were highly engaged and gained a practical understanding of the culinary Industry.

Following the presentation, the students were taken on a tour of the 4-star hotel, where they were able to see the practical application of the concepts they had learned. The visit provided the students with an immersive learning experience and a glimpse into the workings of a successful hotel.

Overall, the field trip to RIHMCT was an enriching experience for the culinary art course students, as it provided them with a practical understanding of industry. The students will be able to apply the knowledge gained from this visit to their future careers in the culinary arts and contribute to the growth of the industry.
