We were delighted to have hosted an expert session for the Online/Offline classes of the Junior Diploma in Cardiovascular & Respiratory Health Care. The session featured Dr. Deepika Vijayan, a Junior Resident in the Department of Cardiology and Emergency Medicine at Credence Hospital, Ulloor, Trivandrum.
During the session, which lasted for an hour, Dr. Vijayan discussed the relationship between lifestyle diseases and the cardiovascular system. She emphasized the impacts of unhealthy lifestyle choices on our cardiovascular health and the significance of developing good habits to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Furthermore, she shared some cases from her experience and explained how she handled them.
We were pleased to see that the students actively participated in the session by asking questions and clarifying their doubts. This level of engagement indicates their commitment to learning and improving their understanding of cardiovascular and respiratory health care.
We hope that Dr. Vijayan’s insights during the session have inspired the students to adopt healthy lifestyle choices to improve their overall health and reduce the risk of developing lifestyle-related diseases. We extend our gratitude to Dr. Vijayan for her time and expertise and look forward to hosting similar sessions in the future to support our students’ academic and professional development.
