Excel Group of Schools recently organized educational field trips for students of Grades 6 to 8 and Grades 9 & 11 from both Central and Global schools. These visits were designed to complement their Nano Certified STEAM courses, providing hands-on exposure to cutting-edge research and industry practices.

Field Trip on February 12, 2025 – Grades 6 to 8

Students explored real-world applications of their STEAM lab specializations:

• Aerospace, AI & Robotics – Visit to IIST Trivandrum, gaining insights into space technology and artificial intelligence.
• Anatomy & Herbal Studies – Tour of Kottar Hospital, learning about medical advancements and herbal medicine.
• Coding – Hands-on experience at Bitsnpixs, Marthandam, understanding the latest in software development.
• Culinary Arts – Practical learning at Isola Di Cocco, Thiruvananthapuram, exploring hospitality and culinary innovations.

Field Trip on February 19, 2025 – Grades 9 & 11

Senior students engaged with experts in their fields through educational visits:

• Aerospace, AI & Robotics – IIST Trivandrum, delving deeper into space research and AI technology.
• Anatomy – Visit to NIMS Hospital, observing medical breakthroughs and healthcare advancements.
• Culinary Arts – Training session at Gokulam Grand Turtle on the Beach, Kovalam, experiencing fine dining and hospitality.
• Agriculture – Exploration at Horticultural Research Station, Pechiparai, learning about sustainable farming and agricultural research.

Hands-On Learning for Future Innovators

These educational field visits enriched students’ classroom learning by exposing them to the latest technologies, industry trends, and research developments. The interactive experiences provided a real-world connection to their STEAM coursework, preparing them for future careers in Science and Sports, Tools and Technology, Engineering and Entrepreneurship, Agriculture and Arts and Medical science and Mathematics.
